Minnippi Golf & Range is getting ready for a major upgrade.
Works are currently underway to bring permanent power, driving range lighting and TrackMan technology to the venue – a major upgrade that will soon allow golfers and visitors to enjoy the range well into the evening for the very first time.
For a venue that has traditionally closed when the sun goes down, it marks an exciting new chapter.
Once complete, the Minnippi driving range will remain open until 9.30pm, giving the community more time to practice, play and catch up with friends – whether that’s after work, after dinner, or simply when the Queensland heat finally settles.
And it’s not just about staying open later.
The upgrade will also introduce TrackMan technology, bringing world-class ball tracking and interactive gameplay to the range. From shot data and distance tracking to fun competitive games, it adds a whole new layer to the experience for beginners and seasoned golfers alike.
For a venue built on accessibility, fun and community, the upgrade is about creating even more ways for people to enjoy the game.
“Minnippi has always been about breaking down the barriers around golf,” said General Manager Mitch Ferguson.
“We’re a community hub where golf is played – and these upgrades are about giving our community more opportunities to come down, have fun and experience the game in a way that suits their lifestyle.”
With lights illuminating the range and TrackMan bringing each shot to life, evenings at Minnippi are set to feel a little different.
Think post-work practice sessions, friendly competitions with mates, or a casual night out with a bucket of balls. We will also be able to offer work, corporate and party functions to suit.
And while golf might be the main attraction, it won’t be the only reason to stay.
“The best part about Minnippi has always been the atmosphere,” Mitch said.
“Whether it’s grabbing a bite at Cooee Café & Restaurant, meeting friends for a drink, or just enjoying time outdoors, we want the venue to feel like more than just a golf course and to be the best part of someone’s day”
With the project now well underway, the Minnippi team will be sharing details soon on when the extended hours will commence.
But if there’s one thing the community can look forward to, it’s this: more time, more fun, and more reasons to spend your evenings at Minnippi.
